The Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA) is the only national non-profit organization in the U.S. dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome (IC/BPS). We work to ensure that no one facing this complex and often misunderstood condition feels alone.

Through advocacy, education, and community-building, we are committed to raising awareness, improving care, and fostering meaningful connections among patients, families, and supporters.

Our programs and initiatives are centered around the IC patient. As an organization, we value:

IC/BPS affects millions of people, yet it remains underdiagnosed and often misunderstood. Many individuals face long delays in diagnosis, limited treatment options, and a lack of awareness, even within the healthcare system.

That’s why our work is so important. Every educational resource shared, every conversation with a policymaker, and every connection made within our community brings us one step closer to a future where those living with IC/BPS receive the care, understanding, and support they deserve.
