It is with great pleasure that I am including this note in the ICA eNews to thank you, the constituents of the ICA, for the overwhelming response to our recent survey. We have been taken aback with more than 700 responses! It is a testament to the commitment of the ICA constituents to further research into this devastating condition.

The survey will help us to better understand the main symptoms (pain, frequency, urgency) of IC/BPS and how they can change over time during acute flare periods and during times when symptoms are less severe (where applicable).  From this we are trying to understand further the different types of IC/BPS to be able to design better clinical trials and improve our future research.

This is an ongoing research project that with this survey, you, the ICA constituents, have contributed significantly to. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with the ICA – our thanks also go to Lee Lowery for her support and guidance.
