Recruitment and Selection Process
The Board plays a leadership role in implementing strategic direction while securing funds to advance ICA and its mission.
In addition to the general eligibility qualifications and requirements set out in the Board Director Job Description, Board members should collectively represent the following range of skills, experience, and expertise in the public, private, and non-profit sectors:
- Business/Corporate Leadership
- Human Resources
- Public/Media Relations
- Technology/Digital Media
- Involvement with/Connection to IC Community

Applications are invited from the ICA community and the general public. Completed applications are due September 9, 2022. A completed application is comprised of the following items:
- Completed application form
- Cover letter
The Governance Committee will oversee the call for applications and Board member selection process which involves:
September 9 – Close call for applications
September 10-18 – Review applications
September 19-20 – Interview candidates
October – Finalize selection for Board review
October 20 – Board approval of new board members with term effective immediately
Week of October 24th (or the week of December 5th, if needed) – Onboarding/Orientation of new Board members.
October 31 – New Board member selection(s) announced
