The Board plays a leadership role in implementing strategic direction while securing funds to advance ICA and its mission.
In addition to the general eligibility qualifications and requirements set out in the Board Director Job Description, Board members should collectively represent the following range of skills, experience, and expertise in the public, private, and non-profit sectors:
- Business/Corporate Leadership
- Finance/Accounting
- Fundraising/Development/Philanthropy
- Government/Legislative/Advocacy
- Human Resources
- Legal
- Marketing/Branding
- Public/Media Relations
- Technology/Digital Media
- Involvement with/Connection to IC Community

Applications are invited from the ICA community and the general public. Completed applications are due May 22, 2023. A completed application is comprised of the following items:

The Governance Committee will oversee the call for applications and Board member selection process which involves:
May 22 – Close call for applications
June – Review applications
July – Interview candidates
August– Finalize selection for Board review
September – Board approval of new board members with term effective October 1, 2023
September – Onboarding/Orientation of new Board members.
October – New Board member selection(s) announced
