At their visit with Representative Karen Handel’s office during the ICA’s Capitol Hill Walk, Irma Rodriguez, ICA Chair and Mike Greenwell, Vice-chair, were invited to an “opioid Summit” In the Atlanta area.  They talked to Rep. Handel and she is fully supportive of our concern about ensuring that the chronic pain patient’s perspective is a part of looking for solutions to the epidemic of opioid death and abuse.  In fact, after they talked to her, she specifically mentioned it in her remarks.  Over 100 people from their District attended and Irma and Mike felt it was very important for their voices to be heard.
