IC Puts Patients at Significant Risk for Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia

A group of researchers in Taiwan have found that some patients with bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis (BPS/IC) seem to be prone to some disorders, such as anxiety, that could not be explained away by other potential causes. The main message of this study is that doctors and patients alike should be on the alert to catch potentially treatable conditions that may develop as a result of BPS/IC.
