Living With Bladder Pain and Discomfort?

Learn more about the OAG1050 Study for interstitial cystitis (IC) and bladder pain syndrome (BPS).

If symptoms of interstitial cystitis or bladder pain – like urinary problems or discomfort - impact everyday activities, you may qualify for a study.

The OAG1050 study is testing an investigational medication that is designed to help alleviate the symptoms of IC/BPS. The investigational medication is a tablet taken once daily before bed.

You may be able to join this study if you:

  • Are a female, 18 years of age or older
  • Have a diagnosis of  IC/BPS or meets criteria for IC/BPS as defined by the American Urology Association as “an unpleasant sensation (pain, pressure, discomfort) perceived to be related to the urinary bladder, associated with lower urinary tract symptoms for more than six weeks duration, in the absence of infection or other identifiable causes Are willing to travel to the clinic up to 9 times during a 12-week study treatment period
  • Are willing to use a computer or cell phone (can be your personal device) to monitor and record information daily about your pattern of pain and urination for the duration of the study

There are other requirements for taking part in the OAG1050 study. The study team will discuss additional study requirements, procedures, and your rights and responsibilities with you.

Participation in the OAG1050 study lasts approximately 3.5 months and requires up to 9 visits to the study site and at least 4 phone calls, plus daily recording of your symptoms using an app on your cell phone or other device

If you qualify, you will receive - at no cost -access to the investigational medication, careful evaluation and frequent monitoring of your condition, and the opportunity to help advance the treatment of interstitial cystitis and bladder pain syndrome. Reimbursement may be available for study-related time and travel expenses.
