May 5, 2015 | News Updates
About one-third of interstitial cystitis (IC) patients have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is a functional bowel disorder in which abdominal pain or discomfort is associated with defecation or a change in bowel habits. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America is hosting a webcast, Complementary and Alternative Medicine in IBD, featuring guest speaker Tasneem Bhatia, MD, that will review complementary and alternative therapies (CAM) used in conjunction with conventional treatments in inflammatory bowel diseases including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The webcast will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 from 2:00 PM -3:00 PM EST and is free.
The webcast can be viewed here.
