CDC Interstitial Cystitis (IC) Education and Awareness Program
ICA is losing funding from CDC that has fueled critical work in IC education and awareness. Representing nearly 40% of ICA’s annual operating income, the CDC funding supported ICA’s website and the knowledge base of IC information resources available to you. The funding also made a national billboard campaign possible, developed a continuing medical education program on IC for healthcare providers, and made an online tool available to help you manage IC-related pain. And it helped to defray administrative expenses associated with ICA’s patient support services provided by email and phone.
ICA is the only 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization that works solely for the benefit of the more than 12 million men, women, and children suffering with IC. Your financial support is critical to ICA’s continued advocacy and awareness work that IS making a difference with more research funding and faster diagnosis and treatment. You have the power to impact ICA’s future. With your help, ICA can continue its important work to make a difference in your life or the life of someone you know suffering with IC. No dollar amount is too small. We look forward to your help now.
