We’re back from a successful AUA 2015! For the second year in a row, ICA was part of the Urology Care Foundation’s (UCF) Patient Advocacy Hub – a separate central location for all patient advocacy organizations. ICA made over sixty new healthcare provider contacts and dramatically increased our visibility. ICA came away from AUA having noticed some common sentiments among most of the healthcare providers in attendance – they want answers as much as their patients. ICA is very encouraged by the increasing interest in and awareness of IC among urologists which appears to be helping decrease the time to diagnosis and proper treatment. In addition, while there aren’t currently any new treatments available, ICA feels optimistic by the current research and the prospect of future clinical trials.
