On October 3rd, IC patient and activist Sheila Erimez literally “made strides” for IC! On behalf of up to 12 million Americans estimated to have IC, Sheila walked 12 miles in an all-day trek across Boston. Decked in teal awareness gear, she stopped for photo ops at several famous Boston landmarks, and used social media to help spread awareness of IC. Her “12 Miles for 12 Million with IC” campaign raised over $1,000 that went directly to ICA, helping us battle IC through education, advocacy, and research.
