IC & Celiac Disease Overlap for Some
As of October 5, 2010 12% of
interstitial cystitis (IC) patients report
being diagnosed with both interstitial cystitis (IC) and
celiac disease,
in an online quick poll answered by 1,000 participants and sponsored by the Interstitial
Cystitis Association. Another 15% of IC patients stated that
foods
with gluten bother their
IC symptoms. This is not surprising given that many
IC patients report a number of
overlapping chronic conditions and many
find that
diet changes help to control symptoms of urgency, frequency
