Here’s a medical update from the Interstitial Cystitis Association.
Interstitial cystitis, or IC, is a serious and chronic health problem that feels like a urinary tract infection but does not respond to antibiotics. Also called painful bladder syndrome, IC can affect anyone.
It is estimated that between 4 and 12 million people may have IC. That's more than the number of people with breast cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and autism combined.
There is no known cause or cure, but there are treatments to help control symptoms and improve quality of life.
For information on diagnosis, treatment, and support visit ichelp.org or call 1-800-HELP ICA.

Here's a message from the Interstitial Cystitis Association.
Does your bladder
keep you up at night and constantly running to the bathroom during the
day? Does pain and frequency make it difficult to engage in social
activities?
If bladder infections have been ruled out, ask your doctor if
Interstitial Cystitis, also known as IC, might be the
cause.
IC affects women, men, and children.
