Almost 800 people answered the March ICA Quick Poll about visiting pain specialists. Over a quarter (26%) of respondents reported that they had visited a pain specialist and experienced positive results and an improvement in their IC symptoms. Another quarter (27%) of respondents reported that although they had never visited a pain specialist they were interested in seeing one. An additional 9% of respondents had never heard of a pain specialist before. The results of this poll indicate that seeing a pain specialist has been helpful for many IC patients, so if you haven’t seen a pain specialist before and you’d like to, give it a try. Growing the members of your IC Healthcare Team often proves to be a great step towards finding a successful therapy plan.
