ICHope Self Management Module
A Staged Approach to Managing IC Pain
Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA) is proud to announce ICHope, a personalized online program designed to help people diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (IC) manage their pain. In partnership with Pro-Change Behavior Systems, Inc., ICA has developed this complimentary, interactive program based on the science of behavior change, which asserts that people go through a series of stages in the process of changing their behavior. IC patients use ICHope to assess which stage of change they are in and then receive stage-matched strategies to help them adopt positive behaviors to prevent or minimize pain and to cope with pain that does occur.
We understand that living with constant pain makes it very hard to focus on anything else. But we also know there are many strategies you can use to manage your pain. We’ll show you how you can try these strategies—at your own pace, when you are ready—to help you manage pain from IC.
Resources for ICA patients, supporters, and healthcare providers, these educational materials cover a variety of topics that the IC community has indicated are important and sometimes difficult to understand.
IC patients can get support and discuss the challenges of living with bladder pain, urgency and frequency online on the ICA’s Facebook Community support forum.
