The ICA provides and administers funding opportunities for IC research in the US and around the world. We currently offer interested IC researchers two programs:
- The ICA Pilot Research Program
- The Fishbein Family IC Research Foundation
Many recipients of these grants have gone on to receive funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The ICA also networks and collaborates with researchers, and works closely at the Federal level with the NIH (National Institutes of Health) to ensure ongoing IC research funding. ICA founder and president, Vicki Ratner, MD, represents IC patients at the Federal level, ensuring that their voices are heard. She currently serves on two NIH-appointed committees: the NIDDK (National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases) Advisory Council and the NIDDK Clinical Trials Group.
